Bosnich To Meet With Football Federation Australia's Manager

Football Federation Australia manager John Boultbee has set up a meeting with Mark Bosnich to discuss what the former Socceroos goalkeeper's future may hold, according to The World Game. Boultbee even suggested that, depending upon the outcome of Bosnich's attempted comeback, he could even be considered for the Socceroos, again. "Mark was a great servant of the Socceroos and he’s a man who warrants our consideration," he said.

Bosnich had an honest reaction to Boultbee's words: "It was a surprise and a welcome one, I'm not sure what the outcome will be but it’s interesting."

According to the report, Boultbee's intentions are to feel out Bosnich for both on and off-field options, including coaching and administration work.

JDJ says: The current situation surrounding Mark Bosnich is evidence as to how many kind people there are in this world. The guy acts insane, gets dropped for cocaine use, disappears for half of a decade and then comes back into the world of soccer with plenty of people willing to help him find very comfortable types of employment. The story makes me very proud of Bosnich for cleaning up his act, and many in the world of soccer for having such wonderful hearts. I still have questions about whether or not Bosnich can continue to be the reformed man he is currently showing, but because of others faith, I shall extend him the same.

Bosnich has always been an odd character, but they say the same about all goalkeepers. He left Old Trafford under a bit of a cloud and annoyed Ferguson by turning up at Villa, but I guess he never envisaged how powerful Ferguson would become then. He played some good games in his second spell at United and won the World Cup championship against Palmeiras in 1999 with two awesome saves, although Giggs won Man of the Match. Living in London was probably a mistake as he got mixed up with the celeb set and that scene. Hope he's still got something to offer somebody!

BB,
Based on the brief video I've seen of some of his comeback training it looks as though he does have enough game to offer somebody something. Who is that somebody? That's a different question altogether. I've heard that the A-League and MLS (surprise) have talked to him, but it seems that he wants to play in England. Who knows. I just hope he can be a model for personal growth no matter where he plays... that could be his biggest contribution to the game at this stage in his career.
