In 1995, the great Manchester United goalkeeper, Peter Schmeichel, scored a late goal against Roter Volvograd in the UEFA Cup. Many remember it, simply because it was, at that time, such a taboo thing for a goalkeeper to do (attacking) from the perspective of English fans, players and coaches. Here's the replay:
JDJ says: Should the header have been saved? Probably. Nonetheless, compliment the big man for getting up and getting the header down and on target. Also, that's not his only career goal. He has scored internationally and in the Premier League, too.
